Each customer has access to their own private online account manager.  We call it, myGodsWeb.co.uk.  Here you can view your accounts with us.  You can view your next payment dates, your contact details, print/pay review your invoices, raise support tickets and even manage your domain names etc.

Searchable Knowledgebase

In your web hosting control panel, your will find the 'Support Database'.  This is an area which is constantly updated by our staff.  It is divided into subjected sections to give you answers, tutorials and troubleshooting tips on the most common questions you may have.  It is like having your own private support member at your side 24/7.

PHP and Zend Optimiser

We keep our servers updated with all of the latest modules and scripts.  Uniquely, for advanced programmers we also allow our customers to override global configuration settings using php.ini and .htaccess files within your own web space.

Should there be a module which we do not have installed on the servers, please do let us know and if we find no conflicts and feel it could be of general use to all of our customers we will install it for you.

Unlimited Sub-Domains

Sub domains allow you to have a new web address for separate areas of your website, for example you could have support.yourdomain.co.uk and point this at your yourdomain.co.uk/support/ directory. You can use sub domains in conjunction with additional FTP accounts, creating in effect simple hosting accounts with a sub domain and an additional FTP account.

On each sub domain you add you also have full email capabilities, for example you could have an email box, forwarder, catch all forwarder or autoresponder on anything@what-ever-you-choose.yourdomain.co.uk

*You  should not host separate websites using sub-domains.  This is a breach of our acceptable use policy and terms and conditions.  Any sub-domain must be linked integrally to the main site.  If you require a new website you MUST order up another hosting plan.  Multi-Site hosting plans may be attractive to you if you are a web developer.

Email Filters/Anti-Spam

If you have used Microsoft FrontPage to design your website you will need to install the Microsoft FrontPage Extensions to use all the features.  We provide Frontpage extensions free of charge and its simply a point and click to install/remove them in your control panel.

Easily add a shopping cart to your website. This feature allows you to accept data securely via your website using our special url www.secure-secure.co.uk. Your secure web address will be https://www.secure-secure.co.uk/yourdomain.co.uk. This address points to the main folder on your website so you can make any document on your website secure.  While many hosts charge extra for this, at GodsWeb, we provide it as standard on all accounts.

Bandwidth

Bandwidth is measured in MB and GB and is 'eaten up' by the amount of traffic (visitors) that come to your site.  It also depends on your ftp and email usage on your account.  Basically the busier your site, the more bandwidth you will use.  Most websites do not go over 1000MB per month, which is the allocation we provide on the Unix 1000 plan.  If you require more bandwidth, we will simply ask you to upgrade.  You can monitor your bandwidth in your control panel.

Support

You'll find our comprehensive inbuilt documentation in the control panel invaluable (Support Database) as it will actually minimise greatly your need to even contact support, giving you the answers to questions you have instantly.  If it doesn't provide the answer, all you have to do is ask us by going to your private customer area and submitting a private support ticket to us.  When/if you do require help, you'll find professional and friendly support staff are only a click away.
